I then questioned mum about sis's condition. I got to know from mum that sis had a medical history before and that she was suffering from some certain lung disease which I don't know what. What's shocking is that after living with her for 17 years, I don't even know about this shit.

However this video competition was..heartwrenching. :( We should be among the top two but in the end the results showed that we're fourth! First of all I would like to thanks everyone for the birthday wishes man!

I've finally reach the big 20! That means I'm no longer a teen!

I guess I have to start to think like an adult now.

49 days without tasting alcohol (*claps hand*)

and I would like to make full use of this fasting month to quit smoking! This will be the real test! So my birthday marks the day when I quit smoking and drinking.

Tomorrow will be my last UT paper for sem 1 in which after completion I would then start and finish my Proffesional Profiling.

G301 FYP grades will be out on Sunday, hopefully I'll get a good one!

I got myself a new team for FYP 2: Asykal, Fin and Vin. I really hope that we all can work together as a team and achieve as much as possible, so that our project would gain recognition in the industry!

Just finished watching The Usual Suspects, a 1995 American neo-noir film. First shown out of competition at the 1995 Cannes Film Festival, the film received favorable reviews, and was eventually given a wider release. Which resulted in both storywriter Christopher McQuarrie winning the Academy Award for screenplay and actor Kevin Spacey winning the Best Supporting Actor award for his performance.

A-MUST-SEE for those who love to watch criminal shows! This film requires your brain to work at its full function if you really want to understand the whole picture! 5 stars from me!

Even during these hectic moments, we sure know how to enjoy and have fun!

I would like to thank each and everyone of you who came for the show! What's more, I gained something else apart from the fashion show itself, which is to hug my mum for the first time since my baby days, right after the show! The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas

The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas is a British–American 2008 film directed by Mark Herman and produced by David Heyman. Yay! It still has some British in it! Most of my favourite movies are British films and not those from Hollywood. The reason why is because British films mainly focuses more on real-life stories based on novels, and I just love their soundtracks. Also they usually have lower budgets than Hollywood to begin with but their stories seems to be more interesting. That's just my opinion though.
Ok, a quick review about this film. This film actually was from a 2006 novel about Germans and the Holocaust, from the point of view of a young boy, written by Irish novelist John Boyne. What touches me the most is to see how Bruno, a son of a high ranking Nazi officer, befriends a Jew named Shmuel from a nearby Nazi concentration camp secretly. They're supposed to be enemies in the first place, strangers when they first met, but they ended up having the same fate of dying together in a gas chamber because of friendship binds. It's so touching that I teared when I saw Bruno and Shmuel laughing together for the very first time.

Now if we're talking about true and loyal friends, I'm sorry to say it's really difficult to find one in our time. I've yet to find one anyway.

So here are some photos of evidence to show that I went to Sungai Buloh with Riq early in the morning just now. Woke up at 6 in the morning, beeped him up and rushed to Khatib as he will be driving me to the location from there. I just knew it, we couldn't catch the sunrise cause we're too late. Damn!

At least Riq got to record squirrels and komodo dragons live using his handycam while I couldn't snap them photos as my camera only have the 55mm zoom lens. That's why I hate photography, it requires you lots of money to get good stuffs.

Saturday noon was spent with Dian, Ash, Juf and Ipen at the flea market. It was so happening I tell you. Lots of people who dress up well were there. The Singaporean scene of fashionista wasn't so bad after all! Thumbs up to these people! Met some of my friends there too! However it is always sad because NO ONE EVER TAKES MY PHOTO since I'm always the photographer.

After flea market, I headed to 8Q to take photos of voguelicious as they were performing there! Will upload the photos soon as Luke will be processing it. Tomorrow morning Riq and me are going to Sungai Buloh to take photos and do some recording there! Hope you guys are enjoying your weekend!

This will be my last post about IVP 2009. No more whining and complains. It's already over a week ago. I've learnt alot from this competition. About why do people fall even though they're still champions. Overconfident, ego, mistakes, game plan... All these are part of the reasons why you might fall and lose. But most importantly if god forbis, then you won't win. True, aye? Right now I'm just going to rest like Snorlax without exercising and let my torn ligament on my right knee recover fully first. It's fucking annoying when you have parents who disapproves your passion and your dreams.Currently I'm really interested in fashion design. I've been like really doing research on fabrics, learning how to sew and stuff, but just a few minutes ago my parents were blabber-ing again.

Again and again. Endlessly. About my sudden change of interest. But wth. As long as I'm in art, they will never like it. All they think about is getting the big money. In order for that to happen, they expect me to be a doctor or signing-on after serving my 2 fucking yeas or National Service. What! sign on?!! OMG I hate to live a military life. Besides people who continue signing on after NS are like sell-outs. Actually in reality most art students think that way. You see, you have to pursue your dreams in life. Embrace and achieve your dreams, at any cost if possible. Of course you will face lots of hardship and heartbreaking fucked up moments but in the end if you persevere and make it BIG, you'll be the most happiest person on earth.

As what IMA told me, "but i think if you really minat then go for it cos in the end it goes back to you not to anybody else". Exactly. Thank you so much. I felt a ton times much better after hearing those words. =)

So, PLEASE understand parents. Be it a rockstar, a soccer player, a deejay, or a designer; let your children pursue their dreams. Don't let yourselves be a hindrance to them.

I felt a sense of relief when I read this. I've been waiting to receive this mail for a long, long time. Apart from that, FYP meeting with shaun's team was great as we both now have a clearer goal on what's to be done during our dry run on the 1st of July.

Apart from that I'm ready to construct my costumes as my aunt could visualize how it'll end up looking like after I showed her the sketches. And she was like really really willing to help me. Sweet right? 14 days. I have 14 days left to finish up my costume. Very Nice!

Was browsing through lookbook and something really caught my attention. Oh look at his style! I find it hype yet simple. The skinny jeans and headband looks good on him. Love the Elvis Tank too. And all he need is a pair of Adidas sneakers to complete it.

On the other hand I'm glad that my aunty is willing to help me construct my costumes for my fyp. Cause she's a tailor. I'm going to have sewing lessons with her after school starting from next week! =D

I've just created my moodboard! Basically my theme is psychedelic hippie fashion. Gotta modify them to be futuristic to the year of 2048. Currently I'm continuing back with working on my portfolio as well as planning how to construct my costumes. Gotta shop for my garments soon! Hopefully our runway show will be a boom! Well, was doing research on 60's fashion for my FYP and I ran into this. But it was an interesting discovery! She looks cute and hot to me! I don't know much about modelling and stuff but she got this expression on her face that seems so special to me. Some claimed her to be the best model that ever lived. And I love the outfit that she's wearing too. Bring back the sixties!

What Ever Happened?

Look at Amin smiling like as if he's enjoying walking using those crutches! Fuck My Life.

Today I went to the hospital again to re-confirm with the doctor about what actually went wrong with my knee. X-ray results shows that my bone is alright just that my right knee ligaments tear. It'll take me 6 weeks to recover before I can start to jog or play sports again. And I'll definitely need to walk using crutches for a few more days before I can dump them into the storeroom. At the mean time I have to attend their physiotherapy sessions. But like wth. It's really a waste of money and time. All they do is ask you to bend your leg 90 degrees, turn it, twist it, raise it etc. I can do that myself at home. Okay, enough complaining.

After the hospital I persuade my parents that we should eat at KTM (Singapore Railway Station). It wasn't a bad idea though. I saw my parents holding their hands there. Dad told me while we were eating that they used to eat there back then during their dating days. Actually the reason why I want to be there is because I love that place. It's the only nostalgic place in Singapore that resembles Singapore during 1989. The Malaysian flag and banners over that almost run-down station, the advertisements of Dunhill and Marlboro cigarettes and the sight of Malaysian and Singaporean Malays mingling together at the food court there, catching up with their great grandfather stories.

Anyway I prefer those era compared to our new one. Those days cigarettes were sold at $4.90 per pack. Look at the price now. $10.80 for a pack of Marlboro. Fucking pathetic. And during those days rockers were pure rockers. Not like those mats who carry their guitars behaving like beruks at Jurong East Mrt Station. Back then the rockers were like.... (Watch this video. Sorry it's a malay one!) Till then my loyal readers..

Zirca

Look, DJ Tang can balance a macbook using his head! lol.While waiting for Fin:Last Thursday night was spent at Zirca with the Chongkong Bros. And it was my first time at Zirca. Honestly the music there was 10 times better than Powerhouse and Double O. The bouncers there were friendly too. I did alot of stuff at the dancefloor which I'd never did before. Also I managed to climb up and danced in the cage. The reason why? Because I'm no longer a frequent clubber. I went to Zirca just to experience the atmosphere therefore I need to make full use of my time and party like a rockstar. I'm left with Phuture, Butter Factory, Velvet Underground, Cafe Del Mar and Attica(this one wait long2 ah). And I managed to survive a night in a club without alcohol. Cheers.

Fuck The Pain Away

Oh mornin readers! It's oni 730 in the mornin and I'm wide awake.
The reason why? I woke up at 6 shouting in pain.
I tried to get up from my bed but I fucking can't.
Luckily my dad was there to hold my hand and support me whenever I need to move from one place to another.

So here's the bad news. I can't walk!! Like, seriously!
I can't bend my knees! Oh my knee!
I'm going to Alexandra Hospital now.. Dad said I should either be ending up with crutches or sitting on a wheelchair. That mean's I'll be like Professor X.

Whatever happens I don't want to go for an operation. Suck Balls. God please help me.

I'm not being arrogant or selfish. But this is what I realise. No matter what friends can't be there for you all the time and they can't always be helping you. When you're really in need of help due to pain, for example; when you're really having a high fever and feel like shit.. The one that'll come and rescue you would be your mum and not your friends. Ok fuck am I side-tracking or out of topic here? Ah nevermind uh.. What you actually need in life are partners. Life-partners. Define what are life-partners to you Amin.. Just had a good chat with Farhan and Naz regarding my lost at the silat IVP quarter-finals.

And I ended up saying: "Menang, kalah, takpe.. Janji aku rock!"

Translate it to english: "It doesn't matter if I win or lose. As long as I ROCK!"

Ok, it sounds lame when I translate it to english but it sounds funny if you can understand malay.

My journey ends here. IVP Quarterfinals. Haikal (3) - Amin (0).

I swear that I can fight better than him. But because of not going back to my roots and origin, I lost. With a damaged knee-cap as well. Will this be the end of my silat career? Can I even still play football?

Ah, Fuck those thoughts. First of all, I would like to thanks Selatra and of course my captain Feroz. Also I would like to thanks my dad, Abang Zul and Adham & Co. who came down and supported me.

It was soo damn fucking disapponting. I plan this to be the last competition that I'm joining so I'm suppose to give my best performance ever. But everyone there who witnessed my fight could see how stupid I was. I didn't use the most useful gift god gave us, the brain.

But the most important thing I learn from Silat is that Silat always bring me back closer to God. You know before you fight you have to say your prayers and stuff. Yeah and Silat gives me peace. Whenever you sit down and meditate, you'll always think about God. That is why I haven't been drinking alcohol for almost a month now. I'll never forget the memories with Selatra. How we trained everyday. Some of us complain but yet we perservere. It's all about the blood, the sweat, the tears. May God bless us all. I've decided to blog again, don't ask me why. Good Luck to those remaining fighters!
